Salado's first bed and breakfast is located in the heart of this unique village and displays both a Texas Historical Marker and a National Register Listing.   The Inn at Salado is within walking distance of the finest shops and restaurants in the town.  

The Inn offers 11 individual guest rooms and a private cottage.  All have private baths and include a homemade breakfast that receives rave reviews.  The signature breakfast includes an old world-style quiche, biscuits, sausage gravy, seasonal fruit, and waffles.  The antique decor and ambiance is enhanced by the friendly staff that invites you to relax and unwind.  Bench swings, rocking chairs, and shaded terraces make the Inn a perfect place for that social visit with friends or a romantic getaway.  The spacious grounds include a chapel, buffet room, and a covered pavilion for full service weddings and receptions. 
                                           
Built in 1872 as a private residence, it now has the reputation of being one of the premier B&B's in the area.  The Inn has become the home away from home for business travelers and antique shoppers alike.  Many publications such as Southern Living Magazine, the Dallas Morning News and The San Antonio Express have highlighted the Inn as a quality destination.  Texas Highway readers voted the Inn at Salado a Top 10 Best Historical Accommodation in a recent Readers' Choice  poll.
